Final Music Video

Unfortunately the video will not play via YouTube as the soundtrack to my music video is a copyright issue. To address this issue I have decided to use a website called VideoBam (www.videobam.com)  in order to upload my video to blogger.

Using VideoBam meant I had to register to the site which didn't take very long and was simple and easy to do.

My digipak as a product

I thought it would be a good idea to show how my album would look on iTunes. I wanted my product not only to be something physical (album cover) but to be a downloadable product. This is an example of my product avaliable to download for my target audience.

Final front cover

This is my final album cover. I have used this image as it reflects my influence of Taylor Swift's 'Red' album. I have also used the album name as insipiration for my front cover. I used this because I liked the idea of using the colour red as a part of the models features to stand out. I used the lips red to connotate passion and the colour red reinforces that idea. The colour red, the album name and the models features all link the album together and therefore make it more relatable to the artist.

Creating my final front cover

I have decided upon an image for my final front cover. I have decided to change the colouring of her lips but keep the image in it's original colour rather then changing it to black and white. I have also decided to keep the colouring with the album name 'Red' in the colour red and by having 'Ella Clark' in the colour black and white.

This is the image I have decided to use for my final front cover image.

Creating the album cover:

This image shows I have created a background copy of the original image.

This image shows how I selected the models lips using the polygonal tool. This selects the lips.

This imae shows how I went on image, adjustments, colour balance and then proceeded to change the colouring of the models lips to a nice shade of red which I could alter.

This image shows how I started to add my text. I clicked on the text icon and then was given some options of different fonts.

In this image it shows me choosing a font. I chose my font based on my drafts as I looked at different fonts and decided upon this one.

This image shows how I have begun to blur her hair to make it look a bit more faded. I wasn't going to do this as her hair in the image was already blurred but then I asked Tim (media teacher) for some advice and her told me I should try it.

How I made my album cover drafts.

Making my second draft:

Here I copied the background layer to work on the copy. I need to do this so that the original image isn't edited but the copy is, therefore not destroying the original image.

Instead of colouring in the models lips I have decided to turn up the red on the colour balance to make her lips more red this way. I have done this so it looks more natural.

Making my third draft:

Here I have created a copy of the background image. I have done this so that the original image doesn't get changed through editing.

Secondly because I intending on changing my image into black and white I have to go through image, adjustments then click on the black and white icon.

After clicking on the black and white button I then proceeded to change the darkness and lightness of the image using the adjustments. I have changed the image to make it darker.

Album cover drafts

This is my first draft for my album cover. I have decided to turn this first draft black and white and use a little bit of red on the lips to associate the colour of her lips and the album title using red as the album name and red as the colour of her lips. I have exagerated the colouring of the red to make her lips stand out more.

I used a different image from a different point in the frame. I used the same idea as last time by using the red lips and exagerating the lip colour more. I used the red lettering to associate the two. I used the same font style but made the lettering more bold.

This is my third draft. For this draft I used a different image and again made her lips red and sued the red lettering to associate the artist and the album. I added a red shadowing the 'Ella Clark'.
